Shanghai is the largest city in China before Peking and has a population of more than 18 million people and is situated on the south side of the Yangzi Delta along the banks of the Huangpu River.
Shanghai City is the financial and economic centre of China, a position that is fought for together with Hong Kong. Its sailing port is the most transited in the world and the Shanghai Downtown, with its latest generation skyscrapers, is very impressive.
The following places will undoubtedly impress you and must be visited: The Old Town, Mandarin Yu Bazaar Gardens, Mandarin Yu Gardens, The Tea House (which is in the middle of a lake), Chengxiangge Temple, Jade Buddha Temple, Temple of Peace, Longhua Pagoda, Longhua Temple, Zikawei, the Bund, Huangpu Park, Nanjing Lu, Shanghai Museum, Sun Yat Sen Memorial House, Zhou Enlai House, Lu Xan Tomb and the Pudong etc.
Although not really a tourist city but more of a business city here we can find multiple monuments, landscapes and museums to enjoy on our journey.
