Barcelona

Barcelona is the capital city of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. Barcelona is located in the northeast of Spain and in a privileged situation with the Mediterranean Sea and very near to France and the French Pyrenees. More than 1.6 million people live in Barcelona. This information situates Barcelona as the second most populated city in Spain and the tenth in Europe.

The usual way of coming from abroad to Barcelona is by flying to the Prat Airport. There is another important entry point at the Barcelona Marine Port, frequently used by cruise ships and above all, by cargo ships. Barcelona has an ample network of motorways and dual carriageways that communicate with the main Spanish and European cities.

Coming to Barcelona signifies taking a walk along The Ramblas and admiring the numerous historical buildings that could be the Liceu Theatre, the Virreina Palace or the Boqueria market. In Barcelona we find numerous parks for enjoying nature and art, like the Güell Park, designed by Antonio Guadi, the Monjuic Park or the City Park etc.
